Human observes everything around them until they have full confidence and think that thing they observe is the truth. It’s always happen like this so, the thought become belief. As people in historical period, they discovered fire using and believe that fire was the god because fire can create new thing and also destroy everything
. 
An important thing, there are lot of people in different place, different area so, things that they observe are different and their belief should be different in order to place and area also. I have an example of believe different. It’s about ghost. Some people believe that there are a lot of ghosts in the world but some people have another perspective about it. If we direct interpret it meaning, ghost is spirit that can possess or haunt people. This is perspective of people who believe. For people who not believe, they think ghost is bad thing that make people confuse or unconsciousness such as anger and passion.
In my opinion, our beliefs base on religion in the beginning and then our beliefs were impact by technologies and sciences. Science is used to prove everything that it can and about the spirit and ghost, science process tells us the spirit is only group of energy. There is not spirit and ghost in the world but who really know that there is spirit ghost or not because there are many things in the world that science cannot prove this time. It’s still have religion belief about angel and demon from the past. It’s a legend that we don’t know the starting point, where is it from. We know because people in the previous generation tell to us and it becomes a frame of our perception. It’s very hard to step outside that frame except we have new believe to go such as from religion believe to science and technology fact but religion still be the most factor that effect to our perception because it is our mind center. The technology is also effect to our perception. It gives us new thing that we never have before. Normally in the past, we cannot do anything in night time because it’s too dark but nowadays we have technology to make lighting in night time. Moreover, we perceive feeling of talking in front of people and seeing their face but when we have mobile phone and internet we can perceive another feeling that we can talk without seeing people face or only typing message to each other. The technology has power to change our perception and make us do many things easier.
In term of architecture, technology also has very important effect to it. From the past, our architecture developed again and again because the progress of technology. Modernism and post-modernism architecture use technology to create new sense of space. In term of structure, architect can create unbelievable form and in term of material, people can see through the building more than building in the past.
About believe and architecture, it will be religion building or feng shui building. Feng shui building is from Chinese people believed. The shape is base on what they believe in and make people in the building or building itself successful. This kind of shape requires advance technology.
For religion building, It gives me sense of holy. It’s something that very higher value than human. In fact, the sacred is from human believes. Mostly the sacred is for the god. Profane are for human and some action that impolite to sacred but how do we know what action is the profane. Such as some hotel that uses the temple appearance to be hotel so, this is profane and disparages the holy sense of the temple or not. In my opinion, they just want to use the aesthetic of the sacred for people. At this point, those people are not god so; this action is not suit for hotel. I think it depend on purpose and intention of people that can tell us what is sacred and what is profane but there are factors that are polite and respect to consider.
