Perceptions follow experience

“Reading the same book will get different story of that book if you read in different time, different place and different surrounding” this sentence is from Chinese movie. I think about it and found that sentence is true because reading needs knowledge [information], imagination and experience for making reader understand the story and some information that the writer hide in the story. As I said different time you have different knowledge, different place you have another idea of imagination and different surrounding you have different experience… … My parents call me as son, call my elder brother as son and call my younger brother the same word. They know who is the first son but how do the other people know. They cannot know who the first son is because they don’t have the knowledge or information. They will know when they ask or my parents tell them. Knowledge or information is the truth in the world everyone can learn it and use in life… I am the second son at home. I am a student at the school. I am football player in the field. I know who I am because of situation, place, time and experience. I experienced that what will happen if I am not student at school. It was not good result for me and my family. Experience is repetition of doing something for many times until it become a skill. It helps to understand the knowledge and information more and also help to create the imagination… I read a novel and my friend read the same novel with me but we understand some part of the story differently. It’s always happen because our experience is difference and it effects to our imagination difference too. Imagination is our thinking and idea that can be possible thing and impossible thing, it can be everything that you can think to it. So the three factors that are knowledge, experience and imagination have relationship to each other, and its very importance for us. We need knowledge, imagination and experience to perceive everything in the world. We will perceive everything more real and more complete when we mix that three factor together. Knowledge makes us have chance to get experience. Experience makes us understand knowledge and create imagination. And imagination makes us get new knowledge…

Perception and interpretation of each people is difference and depend on knowledge, experience and imagination. In one image, people can interpret difference from other people. They translate what they see into something that they ever know, see and think…People use knowledge and experience to develop everything such as technology and quality of life. Technology is from knowledge combine with imagination and use experience to avoid the error from the past, and we perceive new experience from new knowledge that is technology… Normally, we use the normal building or normal space. It’s hard to find organic and fluid architecture in Thailand, so I accept that I never experience that kind of space but the truth is we live in the platitude architecture and if there is very strange architecture appear someday, people want to use it because they want to experience and perceive new space that they never know it and never think about it. We need to thank our knowledge, experience and imagination that help us perceive good thing in the world…

TECHNOLOGIES AND PERCEPTIONS

At present, technologies effect to every daily activity. We can say that we create the technologies but it's not wrong that we can not live normally without them. I can say most of the people were dominated by the technologies. The question is how will we do if the world return to the prehistoric period? That mean we will live without the technology.

Return to technologies and perceptions, technology is the main factor that effect to our perceptions because it can produce the impossible thing in the past become possible in the present or in the future. Such as James Cameron's movies name "AVATAR". The director thought about this movie for fifteen years. I mean fifteen years ago but he can not produce at that time because technology is not good enough.

As the picture express the reality in their own. We can perceive the first one is the figure model but the second picture is not like that. It looks very reality. So technology can make different perception.

Another topic is 'technology and architecture'. As I said before new technology produce new thing and new technique so architect can create organic form or strange form for possible construction. In term of generating the idea of form, technology can also help architect to making form by using computer software such as 3Dmax and Rhinoceros. It make architecture change and architecture change our perception.

The last topic is Junkspace. The junkspace in my understanding is the normal space that have no the unique or style on their own but it has useful function that we can use it. Moreover, it has area that can not produce maximum profit for the space and some of them make user lose some perception when they use the space because space separate interior and exterior context from each other. So they don't know the time and the place.

FORM AND PERCEPTION

ARCHITECTURE DEVELOP ALL THE TIME, THERE ARE A LOT OF ARCHITECTURE’S STYLE FROM THE PAST. EACH STYLE DEVELOP FROM BELIEVE, ENVIRONMENT, CULTURE. ALL OF THAT CALLED CONTEXT. BUT IN MY PERSPECTIVE, SOME STYLE JUST TRY TO BREAK OUT FROM OLD ARCHITECTURE STYLE FOR THE DIFFERENCE EVEN THEY ARE STILL GOOD SUCH AS MODERN STYLE TO POST- MODERN STYLE.

I KNOW BASIC REASON OF MODERN THAT ARE SIMPLE, SYMMETRY AND GEOMETRY BUT I DON’T KNOW THE DEEP REASON OF IT “WHY SIMPLE AND GEOMETRY”. WHY THEY CHANGE INTO ASYMMETRY AND ORGANIC FORM WHILE MODERN STYLE IS GOOD. IT MIGHT BECAUSE PROGRESSION OF TECHNOLOGY THAT MAKES POSSIBILITY IN TERM OF CONSTRUCTION. IN ARCHITECTS PERSPECTIVE, THEY WANT NEW THINGS FOR OUTING FROM THE PLATITUDE ARCHITECTURE. IF WE THINK ABOUT USER PERSPECTIVE, THEY MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND ABOUT FORM CHANGING WHILE THE OLD STYLE CAN USE VERY WELL AND THEY MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS ARCHITECT INTEND TO COMMUNICATE TO PEOPLE. PEOPLE WON’T PERCEIVE SPACE CLEARLY IF THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND THE ARCHITECT’S INTENTION.

ALL I HAVE SAID DOESN’T MEAN THE FORM CHANGING IS BAD THING. IT LIKE ARCHITECTURE IS GROWING SO, IT SHOULD HAVE LIFE AND MOTION AS ORGANIC FORM AND, IT ISN’T BE MOTIONLESS AS SIMPLE & SYMMETRY FORM.
